The Department of Revenue was processing thousands of tax forms using manual data entry. Although the Department had just completed implementation of its Integrated Revenue Information System (IRIS) database, the manual process of inputting data into the system was time consuming and inefficient.

Edge Systems designed an IMEDGE forms scanning/processing system that electronically captures the data on the tax forms and inputs it into IRIS.

The forms processing system eliminates manual data entry, improves the accuracy of the data entered, and processes forms more efficiently. The Department of Revenue has realized extensive cost and labor savings by switching to an imaging system for data capture and retrieval.
