Edge
Systems installed a document management solution for technical and
engineering document storage and retrieval.
The system provides scanning, indexing, and modification/viewing
capabilities for a wide variety of document types including product
brochures, machine configuration manuals, engineering drawings, etc. In
addition to developing and deploying the system, Edge also provided
back file conversion services for approximately 600,000 pages of
these materials. All conversion work was performed by Edge.
When data was ready for export, Edge conversion staff created
CD’s which were then imported into Yaskawa’s in-house system.
